I have trouble ending my ride

Sometimes, the scooter won’t be able to connect to your phone for various reasons when ending a ride. Please troubleshoot with the following steps:

First off, try rebooting the app while standing by the scooter.

Then, open the app again and try again.

If that doesn’t work, try turning your Bluetooth off and on again.

In case the issue persists, move the scooter around and repeat.

If this doesn’t resolve the issue, please contact our support team and they will end the ride for you.

Why is VOI good for my city?

We believe that climate threats are imminent and we want to bring about change in cities all over Europe and also change everyday behavior when it comes to moving shorter distances in the inner city. VOI and our electric kick bikes offer a quicker alternative to walking, a smoother alternative to having a bicycle and a more environmentally friendly alternative to fossil fuel-driven buses, taxis and own moped or car.

How do I start a ride?

Find a VOI on the map.

Scan the QR code located on the VOI to pair your phone to the VOI.

Press UNLOCK VOI to activate the scooter.

Kickstart using your feet until you get some speed, press throttle marked GO on the right!

How old do I need to be in order to use VOI?

You need to be at least 18 years old. Sorry kids!

Do you have to wear a helmet when you ride a VOI?

Yes, we strongly recommend you to wear a helmet when riding on one of our scooters at all times. Ride safe scooter trooper!

Am I allowed to operate a VOI under the influence of alcohol or other substances?

No, please don’t. This violates the VOI Terms of Use as well as most local laws in Europe. Ride safe!

How are you handling my user data I enter and generate by using VOI?

Your data privacy is important to us. We would never want our data to be sold or shared with any third party either. We are handling your data according to the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You are safe.

How do you handle sensitive information?

Other sensitive information such as credit card details are never stored with us - they are handled and stored by our payment provider Stripe (www.stripe.com) - one of the largest and most secure payment providers in the world.

Am I insured using VOI or do I need my own insurance?

In Sweden, the VOI scooter is classified as a bicycle, meaning the vehicle does not have any Motor Third Party Insurance (Swedish: Trafikförsäkring). As a user, if you were to cause yourself any damage while riding the VOI, this should be covered by your own insurance. Please contact your insurance company to check what your insurance policy covers.

Is VOI an environmental-friendly company?

Absolutely! We are striving for enabling a more environmentally sustainable alternative to many other ways of transportation.

What kind of battery technology do you use?

We use the same battery technology as Tesla and other electric car manufacturers. Our kick bikes are powered by Lithium-ion batteries. Lithium makes less impact on the environment and lasts longer than another type of batteries made of for example nickel or led. Due to fewer emissions and environmental impact when being produced and due to the longer-lasting than other types of batteries the recycling process of Lithium-ion batteries is more lenient.

Where does VOI operate?

You can currently ride a VOI in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Malaga, Zaragoza, Murcia, Lisboa, and Paris. We are expanding our operation. Please sign up to our email list and we’ll let you know when you can take our scooters out for a spin in a city near you!

What does this cost my city?

VOI invests fully in the scooters and the infrastructure around them so that the cities don’t have to. Our ambition is to work closely with cities to integrate VOI with the cities existing transportation network to reduce traffic congestion and emissions.

How many bikes are there in each city?

This varies from city to city. Again, we’ll work closely with cities to tailor the setup to match the cities transportation needs in the best way possible.
